I have always had a passion to help and care for young children. There is certain pride that comes with watching a child be enthusiastic about learning something new. There is also a humility that comes with learning something new in the process. From babysitting, to camp counselor, to Sunday school teacher, I have learned much along the way. I am a dedicated and hard worker willing to take on any task given to me. I am returning to school to study Early Childhood Education. I am CPR (Adult & Infant), First Aid, and AED certified. I am creative and love music and hope that I might be able to incorporate these skills to help with any learning process, if needed. When teaching Sunday school to 3-4 year olds, I started off being in charge of the crafts, making it as fun, creative, yet simple enough for them. Then I Read more was in charge of the story and would find ways to involve the children. Occasionally I would bring in a guitar, give them instruments, and we could sing songs. Lastly as a parent myself, I have a sensitivity to the care of young children. I will treat every child with the care and respect that I would expect for my son as well. I have been a camp counselor to children ranging from ages 7-12, and even though I enjoyed being a counselor it is more rewarding guiding younger children. Starting with the proper care and teaching at a young age sets them up for a more successful life and I enjoy being a part of that process.
