Meet Gladys

Hello! My name is Gladys. I am currently 20 years old. I have had experience watching and taking care of children for 2 years. I was a mentor (similar to a day camp counselor) to a group of about 20 children for 2 summers straight at a program called Summer on the Hill. The position consisted of watching over children, helping them transition from the daily activities the program offered whether academic related or fun activities (swimming, musical theater etc). This program helped me develop and realize that I have the ability to become a good role to younger children. This job may not have the "babysitter title ", but watching over more than 10 kids really helped me take on a role of a "big sister" because while the children parents were away, I was in charge and had to make sure everything was going well with their kids. Read more I currently live in the Bronx, but I am a junior at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights where I am a psychology major with a minor in international culture study. Not only do that but I have earned a 3.4 GPA and working towards continuing to work hard to achieve more than what I have now. I am currently in a few clubs at my school such as " Make a Difference", "African Culture ", " Greenhouse", and "Psychology Club ". I am a non-smoker and have a clean record. I am also, very neat and organized and well be glad to help with any chores within the house if needed. I hope to hear from you and show you how dedicated and excited I am for this job !
