Hi! My name is Binta and I am currently a student and tutor with a genuine passion and knack for working with youth of all ages. I have an extensive history of working with children - ranging from personal experience (being the eldest of seven!) to babysitting from several families throughout the city. My earliest experience of working with children was as far back as middle school when two separate family friends hired me as a tutor for their children. These experiences primed me for being able to work with multiple children at once (one family had four younger children while the other had three) and taught me how to coordinate with and accommodate parents' requests. I've also professionally worked with children as young as a two-year-old in the Riverdale section of the Bronx to a twelve-year-old in the Upper West Side. Working with such a variety of ages taught me to be highly adaptable, solution-oriented, and to prioritize meeting every child where they are. Most of all, I find children truly fascinating and take great pride in nurturing and bringing out the best in every child I come across.
