A little about myself: I recently received my Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology . I have worked in a school with children who had autism where I assisted in their therapy sessions, worked with them academically in the classroom, and incorporated a sensory diet into each child's daily routine. I have also worked in a school assisting an individual student who was legally blind, by modifying instructional materials and inscribing exams/recording daily notes. I've volunteered in the Muscular Dystrophy Camp for the past three summers where I lead daily activities and provided children who had neuromuscular diseases with 24 hour care. I've volunteered in recreational programs designated for adults with intellectual disabilities. I was an after school counselor for four years where I helped students complete daily homework assignments and facilitated indoor/outdoor entertainment. I also have worked as a teacher’s assistant for first grade. I love kids and have Read more a place in my heart for those with special needs, yet have years of nannying and baby sitting experience with children of ALL abilities and ages ranging from birth -teen with multiple families.
