Hello! My name is Morgan Wright, I am a 25-year-old transplant from Seattle, Washington, recently moved to New York City to begin a Master in Education graduate program at Bank Street College of Education in the Upper West Side. I am looking for occasional babysitting between June 1 and June 18. Ideally, I hope to connect with a household that values healthy food, minimal screen time, art, music, and outdoor experience. My professional focus is experiential education, ecological literacy, community planning, and art. In my free time I enjoy cooking, biking, gardening, reading, drawing & painting, and hiking. I have 11 years of experience as a nanny and babysitter, caring for infants and children from six months old to 12 years old. I also have extensive experience in other educational and care-related settings. I spent five years working as a classroom lead and substitute teacher in educational preschools and before- Read more and after-school childcare centers serving children ages five to eleven. I also have two years of experience as a summer camp instructor leading nature-based summer camps for children ages four to thirteen, with various organizations in the Seattle area. I enjoy playing imaginative games with the children I care for, and I also love facilitating fun educational cooking, gardening, science, and art projects! When caring for children, it is very important to me to be fully active and engaged in whatever play or projects they are interested in. I value clear and direct feedback from families that I am working with, and I believe children are served better when caregivers and parents are working together as a team. If you think this would be a good fit, I hope to hear from you soon!
