I take great pleasure and interest in helping busy households run smoothly and efficiently; whether that help comes in the form of grocery shopping, writing recommendation letters for a child’s school application, calendar management, or interviewing potential tutors— every task receives pointed consideration. My approach towards working with a family is to first and foremost be an open and frequent communicator, and to individualize my support by considering the unique needs of that family. What’s more, I understand the academic, emotional, and social needs of children—aside from having the experience of being an older sister to a number of younger siblings— I have nurtured, taught, mentored, and coached children for a little over a decade. As a retired figure skater and competitive taekwondo practitioner, the significance of cultivating passions and interests, and a love of learning within a child is not lost on me. I believe that supporting children in Read more their interests and helping them discover latent talents (be they academic, or otherwise) is an integral part of the nurturing process. When I work with children, my aim is always to create a secure, structured environment while leaving plenty of room for them to explore the world they live in—I believe that by creating this sort of balance, one creates a space where a child may truly flourish.
