Since I was 15 I have been babysitting younger family members and children of family friends, working at summer camps and have taught in NYC public schools for 5 years but am currently working at a national non-profit that does community service based learning with high school youth. I have a New York state initial teaching certification for grades 1 - 6, and my bilingual extension (Spanish). I attended elementary school and high school on the upper west side of Manhattan and middle school on the upper east side, thus I am incredibly familiar with both neighborhoods. I had a valid New York State license and am comfortable driving in and out of the city but do not own a car. I can do light cooking and cleaning as well.
