I have always enjoyed taking care of children which has influenced my decision to become a teacher. My earliest experience with babysitting was taking care of my three younger siblings and helping them with their schoolwork.I volunteered as a tutor with the organization Reading Partners during the years 2014 through 2016. As a tutor, I helped children in grades ranging from Kindergarten to fourth grade that were at least one month behind in reading. During the school year 2016-2017, I worked as a tutor for America Reads/Counts in a Manhattan school. I was a teacher's assistant in a Special Education Kindergarten class. Part of my responsibilities included setting up the classroom for different activities and guiding the children in transitioning to the different subjects.
