I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology in May 2018 and have the experience you are searching for! I recently worked as a Family Advocate for the Johnson City Children’s Advocacy Center, an organization that provides services for victims of child abuse. After this I worked as a Nanny in Manhattan for a high profile family. I am currently staying in Johnson City due to Covid. I am searching for a temporary position as I will be staying in Johnson City for a short period of time. Below I have listed more detail to my caregiving experience. During my time as a nanny in New York, I cared for three children (2 years, 4 years and 6 years old). I was also a house manager at this job. This included ordering everything for the children, running errands, and assisting the parents with any personal assistant tasks. I managed the Read more children's closets (i.e. packing away clothing that was too small). I packed for family vacations for all 3 children. During my last year of college, I was a caregiver for a disabled individual with cerebral palsy. I helped her accomplish her morning/night routine which included bathing, bathroom, dressing, brushing teeth, and meal preparation. During the day, I planned outings for us and took her to appointments which required me to provide transportation. I have taken this individual on trips and felt very comfortable in my ability to handle the responsibility this required. From July 2017 through May 2018 I was also a weekend caregiver for minor female human trafficking victims through an organization called Wings of Shelter. I managed both jobs with ease and still achieved a 3.9 GPA during my last semester. From June 2018- August 2019 I was a live-in nanny for a family member. I provided child care during week nights and weekends for a 1 and 5 year old and ran daily errands. I provided this service on top of working my full time job as a Family Advocate. I have had a passion for special needs children since high school and during my senior year of gave private tennis lessons to a 10 year old with Down syndrome. I created all of the lesson plans and additional workout plans to provide a fun way for her to stay in shape. With all my my childcare experience, I am confident that I have the patience and lovingness that is required to be your nanny!
