I have two years experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility and private school. My experience includes: Assistant Teacher, Daycare Assistant, Childcare Assistant Volunteer, babysitting, and being a Buddy Partner to Kindergarten–3rd grade students. I've cared for children ranging from infants, toddlers, preschool, Pre-K, and school-age (Before and After Care program). I've obtained childcare/early childhood development training and certifications including, but not limited to: child health, growth, development, guidance, discipline, safety, Inclusion of All Children, Anaphylaxis, SUID and SBS. I'm certified in CPR/First Aid/AED. As a Teacher Assistant, I administered lessons, instructed students, and supervised daily activities inside and outside the classroom. Also reinforced safety policies and procedures per the program goals and philosophy. I cultivated positive relationships with parents and maintained excellent communication regarding their child's daily learning, development, and behavior. Enjoyed being a Buddy Partner at my middle school alma mater; for younger students (K-3). We Read more practiced cooperation and positive behavior skills and helped build confidence and a sense of safety needed to navigate the school world. Helped them with their class work/projects, had lunch with them from time to time, and was their field trip partner. I've babysat two elementary-age boys and my five-year-old Yorkie, Rico Suave, who I adore and is like a baby to me. I love caregiving because the value of relationships built with the children I work with. Patience and compassion are essential. Enjoy creating a positive, caring, and safe learning environment and pride myself on helping children thrive and grow beyond their skill set, discovering new adventures and becoming their most authentic selves. My knowledge of child development helps me know what each age needs and how to best accomplish those needs. Assisting children and their families is the most rewarding part. I have a passion for what I do and natural rapport with children, and the ability to make them feel at ease. I recently graduated from LIM College with an Associate's Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Management, so fashion is another passion of mine. I love to cook and find new recipes to experiment with. I'm a massive fan of Marvel Comic Books and Spider-Man. I enjoy reading fiction novels, and Stranger Things is my favorite TV series.
