I am a Certified Baby Nurse and Certified Nanny with my CPR certfication as well. I also have a degree in Early Childhood education with hopes of opening my own pre-school in the near future. I have 10+ years experience as a nanny and 8 years experience as a baby nurse. I believe in positive reinforcement, providing developmentally appropiate activities, reading, going on trips or adventures and providing a stable, nurturing and safe environment at all times. Shanika used to be our sitter whom we found right here on sittercity. we moved to the suburbs and had to loose her but we all were very sad to see her go as we had FINALLY found a winner. Shanika was trustworthy, responsible and very attentive to our son. She worked with him when he had problems with remebering colors and numbers and made learning like a game without us having to keep asking her to be participative in this area. We continue to speak and see her as often as we can when we are in the city. She would be an asset to any family.
