Since I was a kid, I've always worked with our around kids...I'll elaborate, my first time doing community service started at the age of 9. When my mother signed me up for the Niagara Frontier Young Marines. I wasn't a bad kid, my dad was a Marine. And of course I was a daddy's girl. Anyway, I learned a lot about discipline, and staying focused on tasks that eventually earned me ranks. During that time I learned useful skills and had an insane amount of fun. I didn't start babysitting until I was twelve. If I wasn't playing summer softball or playing friends. I was watching my niece, or younger cousins. In later teen years I took up martial art called American Kenpo Karate(self defense). After a few months in I began assistance with the youngest class (4 to 7) after a year I started teaching classes to that same Read more age group and the youth ages. Working with so many kinds of kids made me learned more about myself in retrospect. I continued teaching for seven more years(and a first degrees black belt) after. After that I travelled to Colorado, to assist my oldest brother, with his two kids while his wife served in Afghanistan. I've never really considered myself a nanny. At any point in my time babysitting,or watching family. But I would call myself an excellent caregiver. I'm dependable, patient and ask questions. I like fun, but I like rules too!
