I am 59 years old with over 40 plus years of experience working with children and families. I love spending time with children! I grew up in a family with ten siblings. I am the tenth child, therefore I become the babysitter at the age of 9 years old to many of my nieces and nephews, and for their children. I have much professional experience working with children in preschool/ BOCES/JRC early childhood classrooms, Head Start, home visiting-family educator, home- school liaison, and my present position as a family educator for Healthy Families program. I have been with my current employer for 20 years in January 2023. I attend many workshops and training to learn new information and enhance my skills. I have a AA in early childhood and a BA in Human Services in Community and Families. I have a background check and been fingerprinted for my current position. Karen is a wonderful babysitter, who I now consider a friend. I am so happy to have met her and to have her as a babysitter for my two boys, ages 4 and 2. Karen is reliable, dependable, always on time, and most important, great with kids. She makes my boys dinner, gently and lovingly plays with them and entertains them throughout the evening, then successfully navigates bath time, into pajamas, story time, and bed; not easy tasks with my two boys. I don't hesitate to recommend Karen as a first-rate babysitter; she is a kind and wonderful person who has a great ability caring for kids.
