I’ve been working professionally with children, aged 3 months to 5 years, for four years and have experience with school-aged children, as well. I’m currently a lead preschool teacher and have three years experience as an assistant teacher in an infant classroom, but I’m looking to make a change and would love to work closely with one family. I believe that playing and engaging with children, while helping them experience new things and explore their interests, is essential and positively impacts their growth and development. I’m patient, caring, and love to help foster a child’s independence while also being nurturing and offering guidance along the way. I enjoy doing all kinds of arts and crafts, reading books, singing songs, and spending time outdoors, amongst other fun activities! I would organize activities to do at home that are engaging and enriching, and would plan outings to attend local children’s classes or Read more events in order to supplement their learning and social-emotional development. I’m currently working towards a duel Bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences as well as human services with a concentration in early childhood education, and am willing to get re-certified in CPR and first aid before the start date as my certification is not up-to-date. I have my own car which is reliable and I have a clean driving record. I am also comfortable with pets. I can provide references upon request. I look forward to meeting you!
