Meet Priscilla

Attending the Waldorf school has given me the opportunity to take care of groups of 1st through 3rd graders after school ever day while I was in the ninth grade. My obligations was to make sure they were signed in and out, given a snack, tend to their necessities and help the parents who needed assistance with anything. I enjoyed my afternoon job, I found working with children to be the highlight of my day. I continued being offered the "babysitter" of the school for two more years after until this year, I alas could no longer take on the responsibility since I was hired elsewhere. Occasionally, I am called to come in on the weekends to watch the kids that come in with their parents during their parent meetings. Other than school related experience, for the last two summers I have babysitted my two cousins: aged 9 and 7 Read more and have absolutely enjoyed walks on the beach, bike rides to the nearby ice cream parlor or park and tutoring them for the next coming year on their grammer and reading skills. I care very much about my cousins and find that I hold that sense of familial instinct with whomever I happen to be caring over.
