Studying childhood education, at SUNY Potsdam I had the privileged of being apart of the college's literacy after school program, where I looked after three first graders for a semester (Sept-Dec). During this program I created lesson plans for the children for two hours a day once a week, incorporating diverse learning using fun hands on science experiments, technology & outdoor activities, as well as reading, writing and play learning activities. I also babysat my 7 year old niece and 13 year old nephew, during the entire summer of 2017. I also babysat my niece and nephew on multiple occasions when they were younger during the summers including help caring for my niece when she was born. I have 2 1/2 years of experience studying early childhood education at SUNY Potsdam included in my degree. I transferred to SUNY Empire in 2017 and of August, 2020 I have completed my Read more Bachelors of Science with an area of study in Human and Community Services with a concentration in Child Services. I love working with children and hope to be a mental health counselor for children and adolescents. I also have experience with housekeeping, cooking and animal care.
