I have several years of paid child care experience in various settings, and I can't wait to add more! I am looking for a full time nannying position, where I can be long term! In high school, I babysat for multiple families, I was an assistant dance teacher at my dance studio for two classes a week (sometimes up to five when I was asked to substitute for other assistants!), and I worked at the theater camp for seven years, working with children between the ages of six and ten. My high school had a pre-school in it, and I spent my last two years working there during my school hours, and during my senior year of high school I also participated in an internship program where I went to my Elementary School four days a week and worked for an hour in a 5th grade Special Ed classroom, and Read more an hour and a half in a 4th grade classroom. During college, I spent my time working at New York & Company, where I was a manager for three and a half years. After graduating from East Carolina University in 2016 with my Bachelor's degree in Children's Activities and Event Administration, (I have the perfect degree to be a cruise director!) I moved on to teaching Pre-K for two years, which I LOVED! I moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in August of 2018 where I began working in a nursery with babies, ages 6 weeks to 18 months, while going to help out in rooms with children of older age groups, as well! I then moved to the public school system to work as a Special Education Teacher Assistant, spending most of my day with a second grader, as she navigated Math, ELA, and Social Science. Upon moving back to New York, I worked briefly in a Preschool classroom, an infant classroom (12-18 months), and in a Pre-K classroom. I have also been a regularly weekly (and as needed) babysitter for the same family since March 2022. I am CPR and AED certified. I also certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. I'm very comfortable about pets (I have a dog of my own), I love dancing, arts and crafts (painting and coloring are my favorite), reading, and science experiments!
