I started caregiving because I love to interact with kids and I enjoy making sure I can give them a safe and happy environment. I have worked in child care since I was a junior in high school. I am now a senior in college at Temple Univeristy, with experience caring for all ages.During my junior and senior year of high school up to when I left for college, I babysat two kids after school for 5 days a week. They were 5 and 9 and I would usually get them off the bus, make them after school snack or dinner, help with homework, do a little cleaning, get them ready and take them to their after school activities. I would also occasionally watch them late for date nights or when their parents had some sort of event to attend. I am very quick to answer my phone in case of any emergencies or just a simple check in with parents. During my first two years of college, I cared for three boys, ages five, three, and six months. I would play with them and get them ready for bed along with making their dinner. They also had a large dog that I would help take care of since I have been a dog sitter for all breeds for the past four years. The last two years up to now, I have cared for a nine and six year old doing many of the things I have mentioned previously, as well as taken care of their dog.Caring for children of any age is something I genuinely enjoy and would love to keep doing. I am also CPR certified and more than happy to do a background check. My standard rate is 20 an hour if there is one child and I add on two dollars an hour if the drive is over 20 minutes.
