Hello! My name is Lauren and I’m a 28 year old Registered Nurse living in Brooklyn. I’ve been babysitting for over 10 years, have more than 8 years of experience as a youth soccer coach, and I volunteered in the Child Life department at Memorial Sloan Kettering for all of 2019. I pride myself on being an exemplary role model and have a track record of demonstrating sound judgment in the absence of parents. I received my BS in Nursing from SUNY Downstate in 2019 and shortly thereafter began working as an RN at NYU Langone Health. I have both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications for adult, children, and infants. Prior to my nursing career, I received a BS in Psychology from LIU Post in 2011. During this time, I was a 4 year starter on the women’s soccer team and served as team Read more captain during my senior year. I also played professionally for the Philippines Women's National Soccer team. I have worked with children ranging from age 2 to 13 as both a babysitter and soccer coach. My responsibilities have included but are not limited to: arranging transportation and accompanying children to and from school, helping with homework, preparing and serving nutritious meals, and engaging in activities like sports, arts & crafts, and reading. Additionally, as a nursing student, I completed a 3 month pediatric rotation and cared for patients ranging from newborns to teens. I am reliable, honest, and extremely personable. I strive to provide a fun and nurturing environment for kids, and my goal is for parents to feel comfortable knowing that their children are in good hands.
