I've provided child care for the past 10 years of my life, starting when I was 16 years old. Currently, I am a full-time nursing school student but I am a certified New York state and District of Columbia teacher, teaching special education science, math, and literacy for 3 years, prior to going back to school. I was a camp counselor for many years, working at a camp for children with serious illnesses. I also worked as a dedicated aid to a teenage boy with developmental disabilities. This past summer, I was a full-time nanny for a Manhattan family with three children (ages 10, 7, and 3). Currently, I get two young ladies (ages 7 and 9) on the bus each morning but I will no longer be able to work with this family this upcoming semester due to a time conflict.
