One of the first experiences working with children happened a few years ago when I volunteered at an arts camp in downtown Irvington, crafting and painting with the kids. It was a wonderful experience where the children and I were teachers to each other. In winters time of last year I was a nanny for a six year old named josh, a fantastic soul, our time together exposed me to a solid sense of responsibility, since he was completely under my wing. Simply, I enjoy the minds of children and having the role as their caretaker, sharing our perspectives with each other.
