Three years ago I moved to New York having recently completed my Masters in Fine Arts at SUNY Purchase. In addition to my studio practice as a visual artist, I currently provide part-time childcare for a former professor and thesis advisor who is based in NYC (their son is 2 1/2 years) as well as provide care for another young family with another young baby (1 year). I especially love taking care of and actively engaging with young children but I also have experience with kids of all ages, specifically 4 year olds as I was a head camp counselor at Little Red School House's summer camp last year. During graduate school, I taught karate to children ages 2 ½ to 6, which includes coordination training, focus, healthy habits, and more. Growing up in a family of firemen and paramedics in Long Island, I have strong knowledge of First Aid, Read more CPR, and Fire Safety. I am looking supplement current work schedule by finding one additional family who has need of steady, but part-time, child-care (10-20 hours/week).
