Greetings All Parents!! I am a professional educator-nanny who will give top-notch care for your child as if she/he were my own. You can expect an open and clear line of communication with me, punctuality to all pickups and dropoffs, and always believe in engaging your child in meaningful conversations as well as motivating and reinforcing positive behaviors. Your child will always be under my watchful eye and provided something fun and productive under my supervision! *MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND* I am a certified teacher with a Master’s in Art Education and a K-12 in NY State and over 14 years of experience teaching and nannying kids of all ages (birth through 12th grade), including ones who have special needs. I also have a B-2 (Birth through 2nd grade) Post-Master’s Certificate in Early Childhood and experience providing care both in early childhood centers and private homes ranging from infants to upper Read more elementary school. My style of teacher-care is a combination of RIE, Reggio-Emilia & Montessori play-based learning. In my grade school years, I won prizes in art and was always an honors student and continued to earn scholarships and a fellowship during both my undergraduate and graduate programs. I was also classical music-trained in the violin from early elementary school through college and earned the top 5-10 chairs in the 1st Violin section for all youth orchestral festivals. I like to incorporate my love for music as both a teacher and educator caregiver when engaging your child! *ABOUT ME* I grew up assisting my father outdoors gardening so I have experience caring for indoor and outdoor plants and am an avid fan of the outdoors. I love taking kids outdoors to appreciate, observe and learn what is out there, even within their own block! I also grew up with cats but since getting married 11 years ago, I am both a cat and dog owner so I am comfortable around yours! Love birds and other pets too (but my husband isn't too crazy about having a zoo in our home, lol!)
