Hello! My name is Yerusha Salway and I'm a 23-year-old girl who will make a wonderful caregiver to your loved one! I have the dedication, compassion, and interpersonal skills to interact with children in positive and healthy manner. I have the longing to make the most of my life and I believe that helping others is the path to good service through which I may impact the lives of others in a professional, personal, and profound way. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from CUNY York College from Queens, New York. Through my major, in college, I learned about health and healthcare systems, disease prevention through health promotion, and motivating individuals to improve their health choices and lifestyle. I applied this knowledge to a semester of internship work at Gouverneur Health Care Services in Manhattan, New York. At Gouverneur, I worked with the Therapeutic Recreation Department Read more and interacted with the elderly patients with compassion and apt allegiance. Today, I continue to intern at Gouverneur because I have developed a personal connection and attachment with the residents and staff members. Working with the elderly is deeply inspiring and I feel obliged to gain further education and serve this community with complete responsibility and happiness. I have developed a bond with residents individually and although I have yet to experience greater experience like these with children I believe that I can carry forward what I have learnt in this setting to any setting. I am very cordial and caring therefore working with children will be empowering and helpful for me as an individual who is learning and growing every day. Also, I realize that the journey of gaining insight to multiple fields of services may be filled with obstacles but my goal is to address, accept, and overcome my issues and emerge successful.
