I have been working in the child-care field for 6 years now and have loved every second of it! Child care has always came very naturally to me, and I find much fulfillment in this industry. I started working with children at 19 on an Army base in fort Polk Louisiana. It started for me with an add in the base paper about a position at the Main Post Chapel child care center. Ever since then I have worked in daycares in LA, MO, and NY. The hardest part for me was saying goodbye to the kids I had built a strong bond with, but that is military life. After a divorce I moved back to NY and continued my child-care experience at an in-home daycare in Lake Ronkonkoma. My provider recently pass from illness and the daycare was shut down as a result. I have been watching a handful Read more of the kids on the side that were previously enrolled in the in-home daycare but unfortunately come summer they will no longer need my services. I have had a backroad check in every state I've worked in, and have completed necessary hours for eligibility to work with children. I have passed the physical and TB test. My CPR/first aid expired in February but I have no issue completing the course again if necessary. Bottom line is I absolutly love children and being able to work and help mold them. I have immense amount of patience for people and animals and I believe that has helped me become successful in this field of work.
