I have been babysitting for about six years now, with an additional year’s experience as a certified childcare worker at a group home and over a year as a youth support specialist. I previously worked as an assistant childcare director prior to my current work in human services. I have completed numerous trainings regarding proper child care, such as strength-based perspectives, trauma informed care, and social and emotional development in early childhood. I have worked with kids of all ages, toddlers to teens, and I have additional experience with babies. Working with those kids allowed me to grow and mature into a compassionate, responsible, patient, and understanding individual. It also allowed for me to gain some experience working with children diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the Red Cross. I’ve been working with kids for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I helped my sisters babysit from a young age and eventually began caring for families on my own.
