I have been working with children since my early teen years. Early on, I began working with children through volunteer opportunities and sitting experiences. Starting in 8th grade I began volunteering in various organizations in the city. These roles included teachers aid and after school care programs. I worked for multiple years as a teachers aid for children with autism, ranging from 3rd-8th grade. I was recognized for being incredibly patient, working with the children to accomplish their goals, and being a positive supporter. Additionally, I helped run an afterschool day care program at a women's shelter working with babies and toddlers. My tasks included caring for the children, keeping them entertained, feedings, and helping keep up with their schedules. My most recent nannying job has been working with a family with two kids, ages 3 and 5. On a daily basis, I make sure that the children get outside Read more and have some sort of physical activity as they love to play. We also do plenty of crafting, quiet time, and reading activity. I am slo responsible for preparing their lunch and snacks and making sure their items are properly stored and put away. I love working with children and having a positive impact on their growth and development.
