Hello! I am a very friendly and creative nanny with 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I hold a BA in Childhood/Special Education, and am CPR/First Aid Certified. I love spending my time with children: playing games, creating art projects, reading & HW help, outings & adventures etc. and am comfortable with bedtime routines when applicable. I am currently the Assistant Director for an Out-of-School Time program in CT, as well as a part time nanny! Prior to this I spent nearly a decade at a local community center where I worked with babies through teenagers in various roles, such as running summer camps and toddler and school-age programming. I also started a Jr. Campers Program (for toddlers) at a camp in CT! While I facilitated all aspects of care and education, I focused on literacy and social-emotional development. I served in AmeriCorps for 2 years Read more post college, and have even cared for and taught English to children abroad!

We adore Sheila! Our son is starting school or we would have stayed on with her. Sheila kept him occupied and took him out on adventures to several local libraries and parks - so much that he would talk about it for days after. Even on the rainy stay-home days the two of them had plenty to do. She's responsible and punctual and my kid really loves her. She treats him like a person, unlike some sitters who order the kids around and have a list of "don't do that" which really built up his confidence and independence. Cannot recommend her enough.
