My goal is to offer a loving, nurturing, and secure place for the children to learn and play. As a care giver I provide care to children when their parents or family members are absent. Typical day to day duties include preparing and serving meals, changing diapers and clothes, following specific dietary rules, bathing and dressing children, doing housekeeping tasks, organizing activities, teaching children social emotional skills, manners, administering medicines, and helping children with homework. As a babysitter I am willing to complete other related duties, such as feeding pets, or running errands for the family. A child’s health and safety is always my number one priority. Additionally, I am First Aid, CPR and MAT certified. I’ve been closely working with children for about three years now. I am currently working at Peace Inc. as a Head Teacher for their Early Head Start program with toddlers. Before that I was Read more a Teachers Assistant for infants and also pre-k children. Teaching children is my life's mission. This is not just a job to me. This is something that I need to do on a daily basis. All children are precious, but I'm particularly drawn to helping those who need it the most, and children with intellectual/physical disabilities need someone who cares about them and is invested in their growth and education. I don't think that most people have that capacity for patience and compassion, and I do, so I think it's my calling, a chance to do good in the world using something that I have that others don't.
