Hello! My name is Daquisha Jones and I am a 22 year old college graduate. If my title caught your attention you'd be interested in knowing that my siblings are 14, 11, and 7, (I've been responsible for successful date nights for the past 7 years). My immediate and extended family is quite large and children are a natural and expected part of any family gathering. While sitting for my siblings was enjoyable, I have plenty of experience beyond the three of them. During high school I babysat for a few teachers. However, the family I grew closest to and babysat for most often were the two preteen boys of my high school principal. Ms. James entrusted me with the care of her two sons and she remains a close family friend to this day. During high school I picked up volunteer hours in an elementary art classroom. I am Read more prepared at any moment to introduce your children to a coloring book or safety scissors. My college years were filled with a different type of babysitting that required the utmost reliability. I served as a student ambassador for 3 years on campus. As an ambassador we were expected to house high school students overnight so that they would gain the "watered down college experience." After a year as an ambassador I was promoted to Lead Ambassador and my duties expanded. As an ambassador I was expected to care for students ages 14-19 by ensuring they were fed, on time to appointments with professors, and having wholesome fun throughout the day and night. As a Lead Ambassador I was the point of contact for parents, students, and the 35 other student ambassadors. During event weekends for the campus I was in charge of creating a safe and exciting environment for up to 70 high school students. After college, while looking for full time work I began babysitting again and have enjoyed working with younger children again. Within the past 3 months I have worked with 4 children ranging from 6 months to 3 years of age. I am a natural around children and I take the preferences and guidelines of parents very seriously. I have a friendly disposition and enough energy for a toddler or teenager!
