Meet Jawan

I am an energetic, creative, and loving person who enjoys working with children! As the oldest of 7 grandchildren, I had a hand in raising every child that came after me. Having to babysit after school and during summer breaks, I developed a love for caregiving . This required me to oversee them in day-to-day activities, cook/clean, assist with homework/studying, and facilitate playtime. I went on to become a counselor at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, a world-renowned summer arts program, where I managed groups of children (ages 5-8) and teenagers (ages 15-16). More recently, I was a Pace University summer orientation counselor. In both positions, I created what I believe to be enjoyable, unforgettable moments for all my students. I am a stickler for creating a safe, nurturing environment for all that I am responsible for.
