My mother had a daycare in our house, and I grew up taking care of kids! I love it! I helped out around the daycare and also did separate babysitting jobs on the side. I took some ECE classes in college, and have been babysitting regularly again for the last four years, both on a long-term basis providing before and after school care for several families with grade school kids (ages 5-9), and for date nights for various ages, infants through 12 years. I love to help kids learn, and to help them have fun while doing it. I think one of the most important things I can do is to children gain confidence in themselves, because that is the basis for them tackling any other challenges.
