Hi! My name is Jamie, I am 22 years old and a recent graduate of New York University, receiving a BA in Environmental Studies and Public Health. I have almost 10 years of experience babysitting and nannying kids of all ages, from infants to preteens. I have worked with many siblings, groups of friends, birthday parties, and as a camp counselor for a few years. I am from Philadelphia, PA, which is where I started babysitting around 12 years old. Since then I have worked in a variety of NYC and Philadelphia neighborhoods and suburbs. I truly love working with kids. I have been a part of the nationwide program, Sprout Up, at NYU for the past four years. In this program, we teach elementary students about environmental science, ecology, and environmental values in order to provide them with a strong understanding of the importance of our earth. This has Read more allowed me to create various fun lesson plans and activities which I have brought to many of the children I have babysat and nannied. I love being able to bring an educational aspect to the games and arts/crafts that I create for the kids. Additionally, my experience teaching children along with my own personal education allows me to help with homework of any subject! I am very energetic, creative, patient, and I can easily adapt to the needs of your family. I am a wonderful cook and I'm prepared to get comfortable with your family's regular meals. I'm also comfortable cleaning up around the house, running errands, doing laundry, and helping with whatever else you may need. I am ready to do early mornings and late nights, and I'm very comfortable with helping your family get ready for the day and bedtime for the kids. While I do not have my own car in NYC, I have a clean driving record, experience driving children, and substantial experience driving in the city. I am wonderful at following directions and routines, and I'm very flexible. I am ready to build a caring, long-term relationship with you and your family. I am vaccinated and continuing to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and mask-wearing. I have many references upon request.
