My name is Rocio Vives—born and raised in New York City. From a very early age I was surrounded by many strong female influencers. Women like my mother ,and aunts who are all stronger in their own unique way . Her lessons inspired me to define my own femininity in my early adolescent years and triggered an interested in feminist culture. Historic influencers like Gloria Steinem, Barbra Walters , and Maya Angelou these women exemplify the importance individuality . As I expanded by depth of knowledge in the feminist movement, I developed my own personal style which also derived from my jobs in women’s retail. I grew a sense of pride in my quick ability to style women from all walks of life—from entry level employees to well-established executives.
