I have cared for children for 8 years. I've nannied for a family with a 9-year-old, 7-year-old, and a 4-year-old, as well as a family with a 6-month-old. In New York City, I have regularly babysat for a family with 5 and 7-year-old daughters, as well as a family with 2-month-old and 2-year-old sons, since the beginning of my junior year. Additionally, I spent my first year of college working in the infant room at Columbia University's daycare, Tompkins Hall Nursery School. I'm also CPR and first aid certified. I just graduated from Barnard with a major in English and a minor in Political Science. On campus, most of my time was taken up by my responsibilities as class president, resident assistant, tour guide, and writing tutor. I love to dance, and I was very involved with the Columbia University Ballet Ensemble. In the past, I've been a dance teacher Read more at my hometown studio, and last summer I taught a ballet class to 4-6-year-olds via Zoom with the Columbia Volunteer Tutoring Corps. I was also co-president of Columbia's Inwood Academic Tutoring with my friend Chrissie. We headed up to the Inwood area every Friday afternoon to tutor 6-18 year-olds in whatever homework they needed help with.
