Meet Heiko

I am a German native from Berlin. I have an educator degree (Erzieherausbildung) worked in a daycare in Berlin for 5 years, in an elementary school after club for 6 months, and was a volunteer staff for many years at several kids camps. I have lived in the US for 7 years now. For 6 years I worked at a non-profit in San Francisco. I was the Outreach Director for 3 of those years. Mainly working with Middle and High School groups that came to volunteer at our program. I moved to New York in November 2019 and worked at KinderHaus Brooklyn, a german immersion pre-school until July. I am passionate about working with children showing them the world and let them show me the world. A willingness to see through a child's eye is so important!
