Meet Ona

Hi, I’m Onaedo Ogbuefi, a sophomore at Columbia University, where I’m majoring in Psychology with a minor in Film and Media Studies and a concentration in Business Management. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, from regular babysitting to teaching and mentoring roles. As a volunteer teacher with SEED (Sustainable Education & Enterprise Development), I designed and led interactive lessons for children aged 3 to 18, combining academic subjects with creative activities like music and games to keep learning fun and engaging. I’ve also worked as an aftercare mentor, supervising younger children, assisting with homework, and fostering social connections through thoughtful activities. Additionally, my experience as a caregiver for an elderly client has further strengthened my patience, empathy, and attention to detail.
