I am a current student at Columbia University studying both Creative Writing and Drama/Theatre Arts. I am dedicated to the education of young minds. I tend to baby-sit those I can help academically. I have doubled as baby-sitter and tutor on many occasions, and it is what I am best at. I am a trained tutor in various subjects including math, reading and history. I have an extensive background in teaching young children how to read and aiding in increasing reading levels. I also have a flare for creativity so working on stimulating art projects that deal with education is also a passion of mine. I have worked with children from infancy (previous experience as a mother's helper) to 14 years old. I currently work as a school librarian/library teacher at an elementary/middle school. I lead classes for grade levels K through 8. The curriculum I created focuses on literacy Read more (grades K-2), research and readinf comprehension (grades 3-5), and creative and expository writing (grades 6-8). My curriculum incorporates the core subjects of Language Arts and History (American and World).
