Throughout both my college, high school, and middle school years, I both babysat and was a nanny for many families. In my most recent position, I cared for three young girls, ages six, eight and 11. Everyday, I would pick them up from the bus, clean their home, make them lunch and dinner, walk and feed their dog, play outside with them, help them with their homework and help them bathe and get ready for bed. Their father worked a lot and because he was a single parent he needed a lot of help, so in most cases I would stay from 2 p.m. until roughly 3 a.m. Because of these long, unexpected hours, I had to keep my schedule extremely flexible which is something I am willing to do with future employment.
