Hello there! As you can see my name is Jacqueline. I am currently in college, pursuing a degree in Childhood Education. I have two more semesters to go before my degree is completed. I would say I am a dependable, organized, and responsible individual. While growing up I’ve always been surrounded by distant relatives children and have seen them blossom from infants into the beautiful children and teenagers they are today! I even as a young child loved helping my babysitter take care of other children. I have assisted my family members over the summer in watching and caring for them. I also learned while volunteering in the city three years ago with children’s reading groups I found my passion was working with kids and helping them grow and develop. I also enjoy learning things from children as well! My most recent babysitting experience I have assisted the parents in Read more pickup, drops off, light meal prep, maintaining routines, homework help, and more. Most of all I believe in providing a safe environment for your children and engaging in age appropriate activities. I have completed courses in Educational Psychology, Psychology of the Exceptional Child, Foundations of Education, Developmental Psychology, Education Technology, Reading Strategies and Effective Teaching Strategies. These courses have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to understand the developmental stages associated with each child's ages, and has also exposed me to various methodology when it comes to children learning.
