I have been a caregiver for over 28 years. I worked for the Department of Social Services(6) years as a informal caregiver to family members, and formal working parents. I received my training through the Child Care Council, where I received a CDA( Child Developmental Associate) certificate. I have an Associates degree in human services, and work at Monroe Community College ( part-time) working with teens, to improve their GPA. Each of the jobs I took on provided new and exciting experiences which led me to become the passionate, provider that I am today. I love my job of caring for children because, as a mother and, grandmother I can light up a child's life with laughter, and positive thinking, to help them become productive citizens in the future. I am good for that role, because I continue to learn in the learning field.
