I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and helping them learn, grow, and feel safe. I find joy in creating fun and engaging activities, encouraging creativity, and supporting children as they develop confidence and independence. As a grandmother and experienced caregiver, I understand how important it is for parents to know their children are in caring and trustworthy hands. I have over 15 years of childcare experience caring for children from infancy through school age. As a teenager, I regularly cared for family members’ children ranging from 1 month to 5 years old. As an adult, I worked as a paid babysitter for a family with a 10-month-old boy for approximately one year. I also cared for two school-age boys, ages 7 and 10, before and after school, helping with their daily routines until their mother returned home from work. My experience includes feeding, diaper changes, playtime, homework assistance, meal preparation, bedtime routines, and supervising multiple children at once. I am a patient, trustworthy, and creative caregiver who is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to communicate effectively with bilingual families and help children learn a second language if desired. I am comfortable assisting with homework, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and bedtime routines. I hold a valid driver’s license and have previously completed CPR and First Aid training. While my certifications have expired and are due for renewal, I am familiar with emergency preparedness and child safety practices.
