Meet Denielle

At the age of 14, I was granted the opportunity to join my love for performance with my passion for teaching and care taking when I gained employment as a camp counselor at an elite performing arts camp. Affectionately called "Mama D," I was responsible for nurturing, teaching and cultivating the creative minds of about 150 children. Skilled in the areas of singing, acting and movement I devised fun and interactive activities that kept children's minds and bodies engaged as well as enhanced their critical thinking abilities. My students loved me! And my fellow co-workers remarked on my innate nurturing ability, at such a young age, and marveled at my ability to maintain structure while having a great time! From that summer on, I knew that though I'd pursue my performance career, teaching and taking care of children had to also be apart of my life. As life progressed, I Read more was granted more and more opportunities to marry my two passions. I toured Australia with my performance team presenting inspirational messages at primary schools, colleges and universities to over 100,000 students. During my 4 years in college, where I attended California Institute of the Arts, I taught writing for performance at an inner-city high school and a year after graduating began teaching Kindergarten- 3rd grade. With summer of last year came one of my favorite opportunities; working with infants-age 5 at a daycare center. And this past June of 2014, I completed my second 9 month performance contract with Disney Cruise Line aboard the Disney Wonder which was an incredible experience in and of itself because not only was I allowed to pour my heart out on stage every night before thousands, but I had the privilege of creating unforgettable moments through the magic of Disney for adults and children alike. It takes patience and understanding to take care of children of any age but the ability to nurture and have compassion for infants and toddlers, takes a special heart. Babysitting has become a highlight of my life because it's not just a job, but an opportunity for me to learn, grow and enhance my listening and learning abilities as well. Children's freedom, honesty and joy is not only admirable but inspirational, and because of that I love what I do!
