Hello! My name is Elizabeth, I am from the Rye Brook area in New York. I have had several different jobs including child care, of which I have about three years of experience, as well as jobs in retail and food service of which I have about eight. I also have some experience as a mother's helper including light housekeeping. My latest sitter job, which lasted about three years, was mainly a driving position with some homework help and light housekeeping. I worked for the same wonderful family, as well as some other families within that social circle in Valhalla, NY, near my college at the time. I took a break from college to travel with my fiancé, but have returned after changing my major to Early Childcare Development; an area in which I am passionate about and satisfied in. I love being outside, I am an avid gardener and Read more love to involve children in these activities or any other outdoor activities that are beneficial to the individual(s). I love reading biographies, history and fiction, however my interests are always evolving. I believe that children could benefit more from reading print, writing, orating etc. over using the computer or phone. My school experience however, has given me tools regarding technology (i.e research methods, word doc., excel etc.) so that I can assist in home work online if needed. I have a high regard for safety especially in respect to driving. I have a clean driving record and a reliable car that I keep clean and updated as needed. As far as that goes I am very organized and punctual. I take extra care in my health (as much as I can) which has been successful since I did not make use of any sick days throughout my previous sitter job. I love pets and enjoy taking care of them too! I really enjoy babysitting and nanny jobs because they are interpersonal and fulfilling in a way that makes me feel like I am an integral part of the nuclear family- of which I fully support.
