My name is Jasmine. I am 27 years old. i am currently a nanny for a 3 year old girl but unfortunately I will be transitioning from this job at the end of March. I have worked at a CUNY College in manhattan with students with disabilities, before then I worked with children ages 6 months-6 years old at the Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA. I have two years of nanny experience and 10 years of childcare experience. I love working with children and have been doing so for many years. I believe that children should be allowed to be children and that it is my job to make sure that they are healthy, safe, learning, happy, and also having fun. It is my desire to be in partnership with parents and maintain healthy communication with them. I am a very patient and diligent person. It is very important that parents are extremely clear about what they want and support me 100% in providing the child(ren) with what they need. My philosophy is that learning should also be fun and that it is important to really pay attention and understand the needs and interests of any child that I work with so that I may use that knowledge to help them grow and develop. I would never do anything to intentionally hurt or harm a child. I believe in having fun but also maintaining a level of discipline and respect. Rules and structure are essential to support children in building trust and feeling secure because they know what to expect and what is needed from them.
