Gladys seemed very friendly on the phone, but thank God we checked her reference thoroughly. Was given an email letter stating that the reference was a physician in Nyack, NY only to find out that the "reference" was just the manager of the recruiting firm where she and her daughter work. When we called and asked, she said "oh, no she's not a doctor". If that's true, then why did her reference letter say that? Lying on your reference letter? Huge red flag.
