Hello, my name is Diana, a recent graduated from Lehman College with Bachelor's of Science in Sociology. I am currently studying to enroll in a Master's program and have been babysitting, doing after school programs and housekeeping in-between. While in college I worked and interned with different organisation and different people from different fields. I did an internship at Westhab Inc. Westhab is a non-profit organization that helps to improve the quality of people's lives by providing them with safe and affordable houses and also supportive services. At Westhab, I used to tutor Math and English to elementary and high school students in their school assignments. Besides that, I would also attend school related trips with the students. I also used to prepare food and snacks for the children and play different games with them as well. While I spent much of time teaching them, I was also learning other Read more things from being around them. I cherished every moment that I spent at Westhab Inc. After I left Westhab Inc,I did an internship at White Plains Guest Home Guest For Adults. White Plains Guest Home For Adults is an assisted living facility that provides care to people who need help with daily activities of living. White Plains Guest Home For Adults provides a median amount of care for residents who cannot individually. At White Plains Guest Home, I used to help the housekeeper prepare meals for the residents, while also cleaning the house mainly the kitchen, television room and dining room. Other than that, I would also make sure the residents had taken any medication if necessary, and help with anything else needed. I have always loved working with and teaching children. My past hands on experiences have helped me grow as well as modify my techniques with each individual child and their families, as they are all different and unique is so many beautiful ways. My abilities to multitask and take on any challenge, in regards to childcare and other aspects of my life, have helped me learn immensely, not only about myself as an individual, but also in regards to the children I care for.
