Hello Parents! I am looking to provide care for two children in my home in Watervliet! I am not your average home provider so keep reading, you won't be disappointed! I had my first children, twin girls, on July 30th and I will be looking to care for children of any age in my own home when they are about 3-4 months old (no later than November). Trying to fill spots ASAP so reserve yours today! I have over 15 years of experience caring for children of all ages, in home, school, and daycare environments. I was most recently the Assistant Director/Preschool Teacher of a successful home childcare program in Watervliet where I oversaw all communication with families, creating and implementation of our educational and fun curriculum and managed assisting staff. Prior to my four year career at The Giving Tree I was an in-home Nanny and an Assistant Teacher/Floater. Read more In addition to my experience and love for caring for children, I also have a B. A. in Psychology, including a number of Early Childhood courses, numerous hours of NYS approved childcare training, including the Health and Safety course required for NYS Child Care Licensing. I have full knowledge of and will follow ALL NYS childcare regulations, including those of the Food Program, (even though I am not currently licensed) and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I specialize in learning through play and firmly believe that academics and fun go hand in hand. My experience includes teaching children as young as 18 months the letters, shapes, numbers and colors, how to read and write, potty training, effective discipline techniques and managing troubling behaviors. Your child will spend their day exploring, creating, getting messy and more all while getting ready for school at the same time. Still not sure?
