I learned of the joys of working with kids many years ago when I took on the task of camp counselor at Deerkill Day Camp. I had the fortune of looking after and engaging 7-9 year olds girls in a wide array activities. Most enjoyably for me, I was able to engage the campers who elected to do performing arts in my passions for acting and singing. (In addition to other things, I still act and make music when I have the time and drive) I have SAT tutored high schoolers, I have volunteered at the Finkelstein library, tutoring in reading and over the years I have babysat for ages 3 through 14. During my time in college (at Columbia University in NYC), I volunteered as a teacher's assistant in Harlem public schools through "America Reads."
