Hi there! My name is Adriana, and I am located in Astoria, NY. One of the reasons why I love kids as much as I do is because I believe that children are the best judges of character; they are purely honest. I also find myself consistently in awe of their senses of imagination and creativity; I am a performer (having trained at a musical theatre conservatory), and I adore witnessing said imagination and creativity as well as tapping into my own inner child while engaging children in play. One of my favorite ways to engage the youngest children I've worked with is to break out my Mickey Mouse and Stitch impressions! I have ten years of childcare experience; I have served as an independent babysitter, as a camp counselor for ten summers (three of which I spent as a head counselor after having been promoted), as an after school Read more program worker, as a children's theatre workshop instructor, and, most recently, I served as a nanny for two different Westchester County families from August 2020 until June 2021. (I concluded those positions in June because I was relocating to NYC.) Previous employers would call me reliable, empathetic, hands-on, trustworthy, and innovative. I know how to have fun and be a kid's best friend, but also serve as a parent's ally and asset, ensuring that the rules of the household are being followed and that I am looking out for every child's safety and well being.
